Windows Server 2019 Datacenter is a server solution geared towards large companies with an increased need for virtual environments. Microsoft offers unrestricted virtualization rights, as well as other functions such as Shielded VMs for Linux. Windows Server 2019 Datacenter uses a dual licensing system. The first level of licensing depends on the hardware (core licensing). In addition, users or device CALs must optionally be purchased, which register either users or devices for using the server, depending on your needs.
Among other things, the interfaces to the Azure cloud solution have been significantly improved to enable seamless interaction in a modern infrastructure. At the same time, container support has been optimized and the server has been equipped with many new, proven and advanced security features such as encrypted subnets, shielded VMs for Linux and Windows Defender with Advanced Threat Protection and Exploit Guard.
